Illy is some good coffee. This place also features gelato and desserts, all which look marvelous. I tried a large soy milk cappuccino and - maybe it's me - but I never expect a cappuccino to be very heavy due to the foam. Here the weight of the cup made it seem like I got a latte with a little foam on the top. It's a lot of milk, which is what I'm usually trying to avoid with a cappuccino vs a latte. Otherwise the people working there were very polite, made the drink quickly, and it has that wonderful illy flavor.

Stopped for a quick fix in the Alamoana area, this macadamia nut coffee was spot on. Rare to find a coffee on the go that tastes this fresh! Service was super fast for how busy it was!

Located on the second floor Ewa end of Ala Moana in the center fronting Victoria's Secret. They open 30 minutes before the mall at 0930. Popped in and purchased the almond pastry and two nitro brews. Smooth coffee, friendly staff and lots of seating. Great for people watching

Amazing, flavourful espresso and great service at Illy Cafe located in Ala Moana shopping centre. A good selection of baked goods, we shared a banana cinnamon muffin and triple shot Americano, both were excellent. A small number of tables in the open air dining area, but all were clean and we were able to find somewhere to sit and enjoy our coffee. Compared to other options, such as Starbucks, the coffee and food choices here are much better.

This is in review to their expresso/latte and gelato. The expresso had a bold and rich taste. Service was fast and staff were friendly. The gelato was delicious but like most places it's pricey. I like that there's seating outside of the outdoor cafe although there are only 4 tables. I'll try the iced coffees next. If looking for an alternative to Starbucks, Illy Cafe is a great choice.

After getting photos with Santa, we stopped by the Illy Caffe for a treat. This café is located on the mall level near Sephora. We opted to get the blackberry sorbetto and the strawberry cheesecake gelato. Single scoop in a cup $6, double $8.25. Waffle cone extra. The strawberry cheesecake gelato was rich and delicious, not too much strawberry flavor, but definitely could taste the cheesecake. the blackberry sorbetto tasted of fresh fruit and was not overly sweet, just a natural sweetness of the blackberries. They have a few tables as well where you can enjoy your treats. Service was fast and friendly.

This kiosk is a coffee and gelato oasis that lets you recharge during your shopping trek at Ala Moana. Illy coffee gives me more of a caffeine jolt than most, and combining it with gelato (your choice of flavor!) for affogato makes for a decadent, eye-opening experience. Definitely my favorite affogato in Honolulu.

There are just a handful of USA locations, strictly found in select city airports, shopping areas and hotels. The majority of locations are outside of the US. ATMOSPHERE: This exclusive Hawaii location is in Ala Moana Center on level two. It's not a traditional brick & mortar but more of a permanent oversized kiosk-like structure with stools and gelato bar. MENU: Hot & cold coffee beverages, gelato and baked goods. BEVERAGE: Iced Caffè Mocha - $5.95 (16 oz.) The coffee flavor was very good with deep, nutty notes, with the mocha wall delivering a bit of sweetness. SERVICE: Counter service was welcoming and beverage delivery quick. OVERALL: An obvious step above behemoth Starbucks, but not as good as the version I had at local chain, Island Vintage Coffee.

I had a great experience here, plus, you gotta love the excellent branding and design I decided to order a Cappuccino Viennese which tasted phenomenal. The staff was friendly and didn't mind explaining espresso differences. The transaction was quick and they prepared my drink within 3 minutes or less. It was served in a paper cup with a cardboard sleeve which was beautiful designed with their brand. As you can see from my image, they served it well and didn't lid it to hide the aesthetic of the drink. They also had a little seating area if you needed to sit. 10/10 recommend.
